Metalec Sudbury Incorporated was established in 1983 and is the leading Canadian Manufacturer of Underground Mine Duty Electrics. Metalec is seeking 2 general labourers for work within our electrical shop. No experience is necessary.

Metalec will provide all necessary training and provide a direct route to an apprenticeship as a wireman / electrician (if so desired).

This position is perfect for anyone that has a desire to work in the electrical field and likes to work with their hands.

No Experience/Education required.

You will be responsible for:
Sorting electrical components, cutting wire, etc.
Operating standard hand tools; drilling, tapping, and heat-shrinking
Measuring and laying out small fabrications based on provided design details.
Mounting, bolting and Installing components within units
Cleaning work areas and equipment
Some basic wiring
Wrapping and preparing units for shipping
Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms.
Helping electricians and wireman in performing their duties (as needed)
