The Quality Manager, Projects & Services reports functionally to the VP, Quality and to the Director & General Manager - Projects and Services and is assigned the responsibility, authority, and organizational freedom, to initiate, implement and control the Quality Assurance activities in his/her area of responsibility.

Your role within the team:


  • To assist Director & General Manager
  • Projects and Services and project team in ensuring satisfactory performance with regard to the Project & Services Quality Objectives.
  • To represent the project team on matters pertaining construction quality assurance aspects.
- for verification of purchased items and services delivered for construction and installation scope of work.

  • To ensure that trained, qualified, competent, and as required certified, personnel are assigned to perform quality related activities.
  • For acceptance of quality services.
  • For evaluating, selecting and monitoring activities performed by site subcontractors and project participants.
  • To identify, record and report quality problems and problems related to the effective implementation of the project Quality Assurance Plan.
  • To initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to such problems through designated channels.
  • To verify and confirm implementation and effectiveness of solutions.
  • To control further installation of a nonconforming item or service until a disposition has been obtained.
  • To review and accept construction quality records.

  • Minimum of 1015 years practical working experience in a relevant nuclear field including supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of procedures, processes, equipment and technique.
  • Working knowledge of CSA N285.0, CSA N299, CSA N28612, NMC norms and ASME codes.
  • Good understanding of relevant CANDU systems, and Retube Technology.
  • Demonstrated leadership and the ability to make a substantial contribution to the execution of department and project initiatives.
  • Must possess sound judgment and diplomacy in managing project tasks.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Technical knowledge to write procedures and review documents on a technical level.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills and effectiveness in interpersonal relationships.
  • Experience in major multidiscipline project teams and interacting with other disciplines and external parties (e.g. Customers, suppliers, etc.).
  • Basic computing skills and functionality with standard Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
