Job Details
Aurora Academic Charter School in Edmonton is seeking a contract-based Part-Time
Psychology Consultant to join our emerging multidisciplinary school team. The Psychology
Consultant is an active member of the student services team, providing consultative and
collaborative services for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. The Psychology Consultant
provides a range of assessment, consultative services, and counselling services to support
students.

Aurora Academic Charter School's two campuses serve children in Kindergarten to Grade 12.
AACS is a public school that believes students can achieve excellence within a direct
instruction environment. Enrollment is approximately 1000 students, and class sizes range
from 20 to 24. Aurora School has been in the top five percent of Alberta Schools in academic

Role

  • Consult on and provide educational recommendations to meet students' cognitive,
behavioural and social-emotional needs through the authority's referral process.

  • Administer and report on studentspecific Psychoeducational assessment
  • Provide counselling services to students and communicate with parents, with a focus
- on support for female and gender-minority students.
  • Collaborate and communicate with the school team
  • Provide guidance and professional development to the school team
  • Able to provide services virtually and/or inperson

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Psychology
  • Minimum three years of direct experience
  • Registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists
  • Able to administer and sign off on Level B assessments and reports.
