    Senior Manager, Sales Strategy and Operations

    Job Summary

    The Senior Manager, Sales Strategy and Operations is accountable for sales strategy and/or sales operations for a region or territory in a manner which supports the sales effort and any change and evolution within it (including acquisitions). The Senior Manager is expected to initiate and drive projects that are considered necessary for operating a best-in-class Sales Strategy and Operations team.

    Responsibilities
    Sales Strategy

  • Contributes to the development of sales growth strategies to achieve Equinix Sales objectives
  • Works with senior management to identify and prioritize key sales programs
  • Planning & Program Support / Implementation

  • Supports the territory sales leaders to plan, manage, and execute their territory strategy
  • Leads the maximization of Sales Execution by eliminating Sales Drag
  • Identifies additional services for Sales Operations to provide that add value and drives these requirements back into the global organization
  • Manages sales operations processes (territory, quota, forecasting, STAR, etc.) to ensure reliable execution and minimize sales drag while also driving moderate performance enhancements in service / process execution
  • Is responsible for adoption of changes to processes across the region
  • Business Performance Management

  • Manages reporting and dashboard production on quarterly basis for territory or region
  • Proactively promotes new approaches to measurement of the business
  • Designs and enables dashboards for self service functionality and effectively rolls them out to sales management
  • Oversees regional or GTM analysis
  • Process Improvement

  • Identifies territory/regional process improvement opportunities (forecasting, territory, quota, STAR, account planning, etc.) and leverages staffing and teams to drive improvements cross-functionally
  • Able to work cross-region to share best practices and accelerate adoption
  • People Management

  • Provides leadership and direction to the team to ensure overall success
  • Drives accountability for the performance and results of direct reports
  • Is responsible for all hiring decisions and activities including job definition, interviewing, selection, and onboarding
  • Is responsible for all employee decisions and activities including compensation, quarterly conversations, performance counseling, coaching, and career development
  • Ensures workload is balanced
  • Assesses employee engagement and develops and implements strategies and programs to improve it

  • Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required
