The Talent Acquisition Advisor delivers expertise and comprehensive talent acquisition solutions in response to complex operational recruitment challenges, leading strategic recruitment initiatives to meet the talent needs of the organization.

This position is responsible for the design, creation and implementation of talent acquisition plans and strategies to meet Covenant Health's current and future talent demand requirements to enable service delivery.

The Advisor leads and implements strategic and targeted recruitment initiatives to address complex recruitment challenges and develop Covenant's talent community.

The Advisor is an expert in stakeholder engagement and communication and effectively consults and collaborates with clients and HR teams across the organization.

Required Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree in Human Resources or a related discipline. Two to three years related experience in talent acquisition required.

Additionally, a minimum of two to three years of Human Resources experience in a unionized environment at an Advisor or Generalist level is also required.

A combination of education and experience may be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:


Must have demonstrated experience in leading and implementing strategic initiatives and projects of different scope, magnitude, and significance, using sound project management principles.

Effective communicator with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Must have demonstrated ability to facilitate change and be comfortable managing in ambiguity.

Must have a strong commitment to participation within a team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve common goals.

Demonstrated skills in maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and facilitating discussion with various levels of leadership, while handling issues and concerns with discretion, diplomacy and tact.

Must have demonstrated excellence in customer service, a commitment to quality health care, and in-depth experience in using recruitment management systems.


Preferred Qualifications:

Project management certification. Designation as a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) an asset. Experience working in a large, multi-unionized health care organization preferred. Experience working with immigration processes preferred.
