Job description:

within established budgets and operational guidelines. Acquiring, installing, and upgrading telephony components and software and planning for/responding to user requests, service outages and other problems. Automating routine tasks using scripting to make daily tasks more efficient thus serving customers in a timely manner.


Accountabilities:


  • Installs, configures, maintains, and administers Avaya systems (e.g. moves/add/changes (MACs), vulnerability patching, security certificate installation and renewal, capacity planning, performance tuning, backup, recovery, security (user authentication, encryption, logging, etc.) to fulfill user requests and prevent, resolve, or escalate issues.
  • Installs, configures, and maintains Avaya systems software and hardware (e.g. Avaya One-X softphone, CMS supervisor, WFO, etc.) to meet enduser needs by ensuring the uptime, performance, resource availability, and security of the infrastructure remain within established budgets and operational guidelines.
  • Monitors vendor performance against service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Develops plans for responding to service outages and other problems.
  • Monitors and reviews reported errors and error logs to resolve issues with system uptime, performance, resource availability, and security within established budgets and operational guidelines.
  • Automates routine tasks by scripting and writing basic computer programs that address more complex systems software configurations and enhancements.

Qualifications:


  • Experience in systems administration in Avaya environment including Communication Manager (CM), Call Management System (CMS), Avaya Site Administration (ASA), System/session manager, One-X Agent and Communicator software, Officelinx, workforce optimization (WFO) and Avaya call recording.
  • Basic LAN/WAN troubleshooting, VPN Pulse secure, laptop support
  • Principles, methods, and best practices for unifying communication systems.
  • System security (certificate renewal, service account password rotation) and data backup/recovery principles and best practices.
  • Experience in Service Now ticketing system
  • Incident response processes to investigate and respond to service outages and performance issues.
