About the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Supply Chain Distribution Manager the Stores/Customer service clerk incorporates several duties including: being the front-line communication between end users, procurement & supply chain teams.

Performing all clerical duties as assigned in support of ordering supplies and inventory control. Providing great customer service by responding to any urgent requests or general inquiries. Identifying customer issues and opportunities to improve the supply chain experience.


Other duties may be assigned as needed, such as picking of orders from a pre-printed Pick Sheet, proper packing, labeling, shrink wrapping and staging of picked orders for shipping, put away incoming shipments and keeping the warehouse clean.

Loading/unloading of delivery vehicles, cycle counts and special projects, as well as the organizing and delivering of stock and non-stock items, some of which may be Dangerous Goods.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing education programs
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with a variety of computer software and programs
  • Demonstrated planning, organizational, priority setting skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a selfdirected environment and also effectively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills as well as leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of the SAP computer system is preferred
  • Previous experience in a central stores/purchasing environment preferred
  • Knowledge of inventory control preferred
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of and current relevant experience with computer
  • Demonstrated understanding of the role of Materials Management Service in the delivery of patient care and understanding of how errors may affect medical treatment and cause financial loss
  • The ability to travel to multiple Nova Scotia Health facilities within Central Zone for Supply Chain related responsibilities
  • Travel to other sites required
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

  • Permanent Fulltime (100%) position, 70 Hours Bi-Weekly

Compensation and Incentives:

$ $23.17 Hourly
