Complex Care and Recovery Program


The Geriatric Mental Health Services (GMHS) is dedicated to the provision of specialized, interprofessional assessment, treatment, consultation, and follow-up services to older persons with mental illness and addiction.

GMHS has a strong research focus component, aiming primarily to enhance understanding of the variability of treatment responses in older persons.

Enabling tailored approaches to care for this population with medication and other treatments.

Such approaches can then enhance treatment efficacy and reduce adverse experiences in the care of late life mental health disorders.


Position Description
Geriatric Mental Health Services - Research is seeking 1 full-time, contract (12 months) Administrative Assistant.

Reporting to the Director, the position supports the research team, as well as liaises with other internal CAMH departments (e.g., Finance, HR and the Research Office) to ensure consistency with CAMH administrative processes and requirements.

You will provide assistance, prepare documentation and gather information on a wide range of confidential organizational, employee, and program related projects, grants and collaborative projects.

A key responsibility of this role is to assist with finance processes, including all purchasing for the Centres, invoicing, process, tracking invoices and expense claims, and processing credit card reconciliations.

This position will also assist with grant/funding proposals; and take minutes as required.

You will provide support with confidential human resource activities including recruitment, orientation, staffing changes, and onboarding/offboarding of staff, scientists, and research trainees including the completion of supporting documentation, and you will support training on new research and CAMH policies & procedures.

This full-time, contract (12 months) position is NOT part of any bargaining unit
