The Employee Relations Business Partner reports to the Director, Employee and Labour Relations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the delivery of Employee Relations consulting services to HR BPs and HR Generalists on lower risk ER matters.
  • Assists in building and sustaining an effective team of HR Professionals to facilitate client selfsufficiency on a broad spectrum of HR issues

Offering includes:
employee relations, performance management, leave of absence, work environment and change management support.

  • Responsible for management of highrisk case referrals from leaders and/or HR Business Partners
  • Proactively counsel and educate managers across the business on all aspects of Labor Relations management including relevant HR policies, appropriate procedures and practices, legislation and regulations and ER related training and learning opportunities.
  • Counsel managers as well as HR Business partners with regard to critical trends and issues in their work force. Escalate unresolved pervasive issues when necessary.
  • Investigate internal employee complaints of unfair treatment, harassment, discrimination, workplace violence or hostile work environment.
  • Has the dual challenge to protect the legal and legislative rights of both employees and the organization.
  • Ensure that management team has the training, tools and support required to facilitate client selfsufficiency on a broad spectrum of HR issues including but not limited to employee relations, performance management and change management support.
  • Assist with the development of the above noted tools, as required, and ensure proper implementation through coaching and training.
  • Seek and take advantage of opportunities to enhance the credibility and importance of Employee Relations consulting services with clients and crossfunctional contacts.
  • Develop and expand relationship with key leaders and HR Business Partners to ensure maximum awareness and effective use of Employee Relations.
  • Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities
  • Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System
  • Participates in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Is responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns.
  • Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel
  • Complete other tasks as requested

Work Location :
Mississauga National Office ( Hybrid), 2 days weekly onsite and 3 days remote.


Travel requirements :
In this role you will be required to visit multiple branch locations across Canada, as per business requirements

Job Qualification


Education

  • University or College degree or equivalent business experience required
  • CHRP or ADR professional designation preferred

Experience

  • 57 years of Human Resources or equivalent business experience (exposure and knowledge of employee or industrial relations in a complex work environment preferred)
  • Experience with employee listening tools/techniques
  • Experience and knowledge of complex workplace investigations as it pertains to HRC and OHSA.
  • Delivery of training to HR colleagues and Business Leaders

Other Skills

  • Affinity for Data and Reports generation
  • Experience within healthcare, complex work environment
  • Experience with ServiceNow will be an asset
