About The Opportunity:


Working as an integral part of the Ayás Mén̓men Child and Family Services Department, this position reports directly to the Delegated Manager, Early Intervention.

The Social Worker Assistant position provides case management assistance and assumes limited delegated authority under the Child Family and Community Service Act.

Working under the direction of a delegated Social Worker provides support for a range of clients in such areas as daily living, resources, programs, and transportation.

Helps ensure that services provided are meeting the client's needs.

The position requires strong knowledge of federal and provincial Child & Family Service policies, practices, and protocols, including knowledge of delegated authority from the provincial Ministry of Child & Family Development.

The incumbent is required to have a good understanding of the professional staff's requirements, court processes, case management techniques, and community resources.

The incumbent is responsible for adhering to relevant policies and procedures, carrying out their work activities professionally and responsibly, and keeping clients safe and well at all times.

The position has a high level of people interaction, requiring tact, and diplomacy.

Salary:
Compensation based on the Ministry of Child and Family Development, plus comprehensive benefits.
