Do you want to be part of FWC ?_

The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks:

  • Follow the rules and regulations of the company as well as the legal requirements. Your position has to support the Health & Safety standards of FWC along with all environmental regulations.
  • Supervise and control the execution of the daily and weekly maintenance schedule.
  • Administrate our work order and spare part inventory system, generate and close work orders. Ensure the quality of the maintenance work in the field.
  • Optimize the efficiency of completed work orders and balance the workload for each week of the year. Participate in weekly planning meetings as well as in major shutdown meetings to coordinate jobs with other departments.
  • Responsible for a timely response and correct completion of repair requests. Report of any abnormalities of the maintenance work. Interpretation of inspection results to generate actions.
  • Monitoring of job duration and cost. Control of performance of the crew and sub contractors working under the responsibility of the maintenance department.

Planning and Cost control:


  • Collaborate with the maintenance planner in a tight coalition for an optimised job planning.

Standards:


  • Create and optimize innovative techniques and advanced technology procedures to assure the quality of the job and reduce downtime with your own personnel, contractors and with suppliers.

Your accountabilities:


  • Commitment to communicate, to improve and adhere FWC safety policies in all work fields and areas.
  • Think the business : result orientated, analytical, and problem solving. An acumen for business and financial matters required.
  • Energize and motivate people : communication, engage and develop your employees, support teamwork, cultivate relationships, network building.
  • Monitor job duration and control overtime.
  • Help minimize the level of equipment failure rate.
  • Supervise, train and develop direct reports to achieve department goals in a manner to create employee ownership; create bench strength and succession plans.

Qualifications:
(Education & Experience)


  • Journeyman mechanical trade or better
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an industrial environment preferable in the cement or heavy machinery manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum 1 year in a supervisory position of the same industry.
  • Ability to work selfdirected and selfsufficient.
  • Able to adjust to changing priorities.
  • High flexibility with working hours
  • Ability to manage stress, to provide assistance and to encourage the maintenance team in critical situations.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Maintenance software
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills. English is required for this role, Spanish skills are an asset.
