Job Description:


As a Warehouse/Logistics Manager at Domino Highvoltage, you will play a critical role in managing all aspects of warehouse operations including transportation process and ensuring seamless coordination of incoming and outgoing shipments.

Your responsibilities will encompass negotiating freight tenders, overseeing shipment coordination, obtaining freight quotes, collaborating closely with the procurement team, and coordinating freight on Major Projects.

Your role is pivotal in guaranteeing the smooth functioning of the warehouse and meeting organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate Freight Tenders: Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, and suppliers to negotiate freight tenders for lanes across Canada.
  • Analyze shipping routes, carrier capabilities, and market trends to secure costeffective transportation solutions without compromising on quality and service.
  • Coordinate

Incoming Shipments:
Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to our locations and clients' destinations.

  • Monitor shipment status and handle any potential issues, ensuring efficient tracking and tracing of all shipments.
  • Obtain Freight Quotes: Source and acquire freight quotes for projects and daytoday shipments that fall outside the scope of negotiated lanes.
  • Evaluate quotes based on cost, delivery times, and service levels, making informed decisions to optimize transportation strategies.
  • Streamline Shipments with Procurement: Collaborate closely with the procurement team to align incoming and outgoing shipments with inventory needs and production schedules.
  • Continuously assess and improve shipping processes to enhance overall efficiency and reduce lead times.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and uptodate records of shipment details, and related documentation.
  • Major Projects: Coordinate regular and expedited freight of deliveries from manufacturers around the world to the site of project laydown yards.
  • Implement warehouse inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
  • Conduct regular warehouse inventory audits and cycle counts.
  • Coordinate and manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse Leads to assign tasks to warehouse staff and monitor their performance.
  • Recruit, train, and onboard new warehouse employees.
  • Provide leadership and direction to warehouse staff, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to employees.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations in the warehouse.
  • Implement effective space allocation strategies based on inventory turnover and storage requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience in logistics coordination, freight negotiation, and supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with transportation regulations, customs procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to make datadriven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detailoriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle timesensitive situations effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

$65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
