    Your mission

    As an IT Solutions Architect on our team, your mission is to be the technical leader in multidisciplinary teams including architecture, customer experience, cybersecurity, project management and project sponsors.

    Your involvement in delivery teams will lead you to be involved not only in internal CAE programs, but also in external programs for our customers.

    Your main role and responsibilities

    • Play a technical leadership role in all aspects of the project life cycle, from the creation of a solution to the initial launch by way of a needs analysis, design, and implementation.
      • Design architectures in a hybrid environment, but with a "cloud first" vision.
      • Design architectures according to non-functional requirements including our technological vision, cybersecurity, compliance, and availability of these solutions.
    • Provide expertise and advice to ensure that technology teams and technology-related fields of activity understand the architectural and technology options that support their business initiatives.
    • Participate in defining CAE's cloud adoption strategy, its impact on the solution architecture, and its impact on CAE's application base.
      • Define and manage the cloud governance strategy.
      • Define and manage the migration and application modernization plan.
    • Be an agent of change and a promoter of the agile mentality.
      • Support delivery teams in their agile transformation and in their adoption of DevOps practices.
      • Contribute to a collaborative and stimulating work environment.
    • Keep on top of new trends and participate in CAE's technology watch.

    Your qualifications

    • University degree in computer science or equivalent.
    • At least eight years' experience in IT and three to five years' experience in solution or project architecture.
    • Personal motivation, energy, team player, and results-oriented approach.
    • Ability to work in a collaborative matrix environment.
    • Experience working with system integrators or in the implementation of supplier products an asset.
    • Good understanding of networking principles.
    • Ability to work with the cybersecurity team through knowledge of cybersecurity principles and their impact on the solution architecture.
    • Solid understanding of web application architecture and design principles.
    • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, etc.) required.
    • Motivated by continuous learning and ability to learn quickly about new technologies.
    • Experience in developing solutions in heterogeneous and hybrid application environments.
    • Good knowledge of the IT application development life cycle.
    • Exposure to multiple and diverse technologies and processing environments.
    • Bilingualism (French and English) required.
