Reporting into the Plant manager, the Health and Safety advisor act as a change agent by implementing a health and safety culture in the Don Mills plant.

The Health and Safety coordinator is responsible for the following:

  • Develop a Zero Loss culture where Health and Safety is a value that will never be compromised.
  • Counsel, influence, coordinate, and guide teams to deliver Health and Safety objectives.
  • Implement Agropur H&S systems including those associated with AOS.
  • Facilitate and own the Health and Safety committee.
  • Facilitate, coach and deliver RCAs to eliminate risks and hazards.
  • Coordinate and support the development of Health and Safety competencies.
  • Train employees as needed on the overall Agropur Heath and Safety program.
  • Drive the H&S audits and evaluate the maturity for the H&S and AOS pillars.
  • Develop and own the hourly safety champions on all H&S systems.
  • Act as a coach for all Plant personnel.
  • Act as a servant leader in the role.

Requirements:


  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Rigorous and thorough in your approach.
  • Motivated, autonomous, positive/motivating leader.
  • H&S experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • 35 years of experience in H&S.
