Small Business Field Sales Representative


Job Type:
Full-time contract for 1 year with a possibility of extension


Pay Rate:
$20 per hour

Responsibilities

  • We seek outgoing individuals who are passionate about energy efficiency to join our team as Field Assessors. The role will incorporate outreach and a
    salesbased approach while conducting audits.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to engage small businesses in utilityfunded energy conservation opportunities while travelling to small businesses
  • Visit businesses based on a schedule that varies by city and where open time slots are filled by canvassing surrounding businesses
  • Conduct walkthrough energy audits for the Save On Energy Small Business Program as a field program delivery representative in Toronto.
  • Maintain an excellent customer service record while presenting program information directly to smallmedium business owners and their management, accommodating their interests, needs, and timelines.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Postsecondary education and/or relevant experience in the environmental sector is desired
  • Outside sales experience is preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service and interpersonal skills; highly organized with strong attention to detail, ability to work independently or as part of a team, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for working within the energy and environment sector
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages is considered an asset but not required.
  • Technical knowledge of lighting and lighting systems is considered an asset but not required, as this will be taught.

Compensation:
The position offers competitive pay that includes piecework/commission, and company benefits (following six months of employment)
