The Role:
As the Quality Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Quality Control team. You will support and coordinate company objectives with the Quality Manager. Communication with the team, manager, production, and production support departments will be crucial for success.

As the Quality Control Supervisor, you will mentor, lead, and develop your team's skills and engage them to meet their goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assure compliance to quality standards through effective supervision of Quality Lab Personnel
  • Governance of Sensory (grading/cuttings): development and execution of site program
  • Deputize for FSQ Manager as needed
  • Maintain compliance to customer requirements and research and respond to quality related customer complaints.
  • Assist with customer and inhouse audits and line inspections, Lead/ Assist with Mock Recall
  • Organize Target samples for product cuttings and control purposes.
  • Kosher, HAAL management with HACCP
  • Selfinspections participation to evaluate sanitation and quality in line checks
  • Intelex management for FM, Self-Inspection, CAPA, and incident management module
  • Create and develop ongoing training for production and production support staff
  • Conduct employee performance appraisals (PEP) and development plans for Quality Control team
  • Understand, interpret and develop Quality BOP procedures (MSA, Gage R&R, etc),
  • Review and maintain all daily QC Documentation, includes HACCP, SAP
  • Assist in the decision making and disposition of held product, and able prepare QC and QSR weekly and monthly reports, able to maintain and updating all packaging codes
  • Conduct held product rework meetings with production/ packaging team

Qualifications:

  • Postsecondary education in a Quality Control, Food Science or related field
  • Working knowledge of Quality Control, Food safety and Sanitation principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, motivate and train others
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent at making decisions
  • Proficient computer skills, using SAP, Microsoft Office, AS400, Microsoft and other necessary software
