    About this opportunity:

    Reporting to the Director of Innovation and working with the Innovation leadership team, the Innovation-Asset Business Partner will be ultimately responsible for stewarding the innovation governance process, optimizing, and maintaining the innovation portfolio, and developing the innovation long-range plan, annual budgets, and monthly forecasting. The Innovation-Asset Business Partner will communicate, collaborate, and maintain ongoing engagements with various business units, finance, and corporate stakeholders to ensure alignment on the progression of the innovation portfolio.

    What you'll do:

    • Steward the Innovation Governance processes including the innovation stage gate process, portfolio management and respective reporting.
    • Maintain the Innovation long range business plan, annual budget, and monthly forecasting.
    • Support the Director of Innovation in coordinating Cenovus's GHG plan.
    • Support the evaluation of the economic impact of various factors and strategies on our business.
    • Translate complex economics into clear and actionable insights.
    • Regular Business unit engagement to share innovation information and identify areas of focus.
    • Work with Innovation teams to facilitate technology scouting campaigns.
    • Coordinate and attract external funding support.
    • Work collaboratively as part of the Innovation leadership team to monitor and ensure efficient progress of innovation projects.
    • Manage up to 2 direct reports.

    Who you are:

    • 10-15 years of related industry experience, preferably with a combination of engineering design and/or operations, project management and business planning.
    • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business or related.
    • Advanced proficiency using MS Excel, Power BI, SAP.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
    • Proven track record of fostering a collaborative mindset and working effectively in teams.
    • Skilled in influencing others and achieving objectives.
    • Highly motivated and focused on delivering measurable results.
