Humber River Hospital is seeking a results-orientated professional to join its People Services team and lead the Total Rewards functions in the role of
Manager, Total Rewards & HR Systems.


***In partnership with the Director, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards and People Analytics, this role will lead a team of professionals to support Humber River Hospital in areas of benefits, compensations, HR operations and systems. You will develop and implement strategies and principles for automating corporate-wide human resources operational services and is responsible for overseeing the design and delivery of processes, business solutions, HRIS systems optimization, data quality that drive and sustain a high-performance organization while ensuring consistency, integrity and equity. With a lens on continuous improvement and industry best practices, you will lead the integration of Total Rewards policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory, legal and collective agreement frameworks.

Responsibilities:


  • Provides leadership and direction to compensation, benefits and HRIS team members including overall prioritization and direction of work assignments, team resources and task delegation. Ensures supply of resources meets work demand and all teams are trained and compliant with standards and best practices
  • Proactively reviews system design to discover opportunities for enhancement and consideration of new technologies
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships across the People Services portfolio, Information Services, Payroll and key stakeholders. Establishes a peer process with appropriate members of those departments to ensure regular communication
  • Designs, develops and implements reporting and analytical solutions while ensuring data integrity through adequate processes, audits, interfaces and back up systems
  • Overseeing the organization's human capital metrics by ensuring the relevance and quality of the data
  • Guides the organization's total reward strategy and manages the study, analysis, evaluation and implementation of a variety of compensation programs, policies and procedures
  • Prepares and presents complex budget costing scenarios related to total rewards programs including making recommendations as to strategies that will drive the organization's overall strategic plan
  • Participates in the administration of the organization's job evaluation system through rating positions, determining salary band placements and facilitating communications and implementation of change
  • Supports collective bargaining through the preparation of costing analyses and benchmarking of compensatory items within the scope of collective agreements
  • Creates and implements change management strategies and communication plans that maximize employee adoption of new processes and workflows; creates conditions for a smooth transition to changes with least resistance from employees and maximum enthusiasm to adapt to the change

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent combination of relevant postsecondary education and relevant experience
  • Certified Compensation Professional, Certified Benefits Professional or Project Management Professional designation an asset
  • Human Resources experience in a fast pace unionized environment with at least 5 years experience in HRIS management and Total Rewards
  • Thorough knowledge of compensation principles and practices and strong working knowledge of statistical methodologies
