National Medical and Scientific Liaison, Oncology


The objective of the Medical and Scientific Liaison, by virtue of their training and expertise, is to discuss and provide scientific and therapeutic information to Healthcare Professionals and Researchers viewed by their peers to be authorities in Oncology (Clinical and Scientific Leaders).

The Medical Scientific Liaison's interaction with their audience is governed by guiding principles intended to deliver unbiased and evidence-based information through in-depth scientific exchange in the therapeutic area of Oncology often leading to knowledge transfer initiatives and research.


Reporting to the Oncology Therapeutic Area Head, Medical Affairs, the Medical and Scientific Liaison uses exceptionally strong interpersonal skills, especially in one-on-one communication, and a high degree of understanding of oncology and the treatments, to develop and maintain strong scientific working relationships with Clinical Scientific Leaders in oncology with both clinicians and/or basic scientists through the communication of unbiased and evidence-based information.

The Medical and Scientific Liaison achieves a high level of competency in using the Team Site collaborative platform and manages multiple ongoing projects.

The Medical and Scientific Liaison is accountable for managing assigned budgets to optimize investment opportunities.


The Medical and Scientific Liaison will ensure their interactions fully comply with our Company's commitment to our Values and Standards, policies, procedures, industry standards and all laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, General Mandate and Guiding Principles for Medical and Scientific Liaisons.


Qualifications:


  • Education: PhD Degree in Science or Health Sciences (preferably in related disease area), Pharm D or MD is required
  • Pharmaceutical experience or equivalent preferably involving work with academic specialists and/or community leaders
  • 23 years of experience in the therapeutic area of Oncology is preferred
  • Good knowledge of therapeutic area (both basic and clinical literature)
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire and maintain product, disease, and competition knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of Company policies, procedures, industry standards, as well as laws and regulations
  • Ability to analyze and understand local community of practice
  • Strong agility and adaptability, and capacity to learn multiple indications across various therapeutic areas
  • Ability to understand and integrate complex scientific concepts
  • Basic Knowledge of Company structure, administrative procedures, and guidelines
  • Advanced knowledge of Office technology and related software
  • Advanced Analysis, Planning, Implementation and Control skills
  • Advanced negotiation, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Advanced project management skills

L'objectif de l'agent(e), Liaison Médicale et Scientifique, en vertu de sa formation et de son expertise, est de présenter de l'information scientifique et thérapeutique aux professionnels de la santé et aux chercheurs considérés par leurs pairs comme faisant autorité dans leur domaine thérapeutique (sommités scientifiques et cliniques).


L'interaction entre l'agent(e), Liaison Médicale et Scientifique et son auditoire est régie par des principes directeurs qui assurent la transmission d'information objective et fondée sur des preuves par un échange scientifique approfondi dans un domaine thérapeutique menant souvent à des initiatives de transfert de connaissances et de recherche.


L'agent(e) conduira ses échanges interpersonnels de manière à respecter pleinement l'engagement de Notre entreprise envers le programme Valeurs et Normes, les politiques et procédures de la société, les normes de l'industrie ainsi que toutes les lois et tous les règlements applicables, notamment le mandat général et les principes directeurs visant les agents de liaison médicale et scientifique.


Qualifications requises:

- Éducation : Un PhD en sciences ou en sciences de la santé (de préférence lié à un domaine pertinent), un doctorat en pharmacie ou un M.D. est requis

  • Expériences pharmaceutiques préalable de préférence auprès de spécialistes universitaires ou de leaders de la communauté
  • Deux à trois ans d'expérience dans le domaine thérapeutique de l'oncologie est préférable
