An exciting opportunity has become available to join our team as anAdministrative Assistant in our
Eastgatebranch.
You would be responsible for providing administrative support to numerous departments within the organization on an as needed basis and assisting in maintaining the overall flow of workplace operations by performing various clerical duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors and answer phones.
- Coordinate monthly safety meetings.
- Open and distribute mail.
- Prepare bank deposits.
- Assist with online orientations for new associates.
- Order and maintain office supplies.
- Read, understand, and follow Vallen's health, safety, and environment policies and all applicable OH&S legislation/regulations.
- Actively participate in Vallen's health and safety management system, including training, audits, assessments, safety meetings, and inspections.
- Identify, control, and report workplace hazards including following WHMIS/TDG requirements and reporting near misses.
- Report workplace injuries immediately and participate in any returntowork programs or requirements.
- Be fit for duty and physically capable of performing all required tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
- Minimum 13 years of related experience.
- The ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload in a very fast paced environment.
