IT Analyst - Enterprise Business Analyst - Member Experience

The Information Technology Division of the Edmonton Police Service requires an IT Analyst who is self-motivated and organized with exceptional strategic business analysis, communication, and interpersonal skills.

This position will work with sworn officers in the Member Experience Unit to help maintain and grow relationships with front line EPS units and ensure sworn officers are engaged with IT and have a channel to provide input and feedback to IT leaders and project teams.

Responsibilities will include:

Measure adoption rates for newly implemented technology by collecting data from front line members in a variety of engagement means
Collect feedback from members, interact with stakeholders pre and post implementation of technology
Analyze responses and support the development of recommendations to improve outcomes in the areas of technology usage and adoption
Support other teams in ITD in development of strategies and roadmaps in response to analysis of member feedback and technology requirements
Identify need for and document processes as required either within IT in the adoption/engagement domain or within a project environment
Develop and maintain productive and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across EPS, in order to support increased adoption and realize benefits of technology projects.
Consult on, and in some instances help create training documentation and ensure deployment aligns to EPS standards
Join project teams as required to support delivery of IT project outcomes
Works with staff from across ITD to complete tasks, as well as coordinate project and operations work.
Informal contact occurs as needed and is typically daily. More formal contact occurs at various weekly, biweekly, or monthly meetings.
Performing related duties as required.

Qualifications:

Degree in a related discipline, and 4 years of relevant experience in an information Technology in an information Technology environment including demonstrated ability to lead small to midsize initiatives. Formal certification in the area of expertise is desirable.
OR Postsecondary diploma in a related discipline and 5 years relevant experience in an information Technology environment including demonstrated ability to lead small to midsize initiatives. Formal certification in the are of expertise is desirable.
OR Certificate in business analysis and 7 years relevant experience in an information Technology environment.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written skills with a strong focus on customer service.
Ability to excel in a team environment.
Experience working in a policing organization, particularly in the area of enterprise level project planning is a significant asset.
Professional Designation in Business Analysis (CCBA, CBAP, PMI-PBA) from the IIBA or PMI is an asset.
Training in IT strategy design from a postsecondary institution is an asset.
Applicants may be required to undergo a short knowledge or skills assessment test.
As part of your prehire screening, you will be required to complete an Enhanced Security Clearance. Should you accept employment with the Edmonton Police Service you acknowledge and agree to participate in future Enhanced Security Re-Clearances at scheduled intervals or in any other circumstances, exigent or otherwise, as required by Human Resources Division.
