THE OPPORTUNITY - HOUSING SERVICES TEAM LEADER - CLUSTER HOUSING

(Full-time)

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provide direction and support to all employees reporting to the position
- assign work; mentor and coach employees in completing their job functions
- provide ongoing performance feedback; complete monthly supervision and performance evaluations
- establish goals to develop or enhance skills and competencies and address area outcomes
- ensure awareness and compliance with policies and procedures
- ensure mandatory training is complete and current

  • Responsible for the delivery of quality client services
  • Responsible for managing staffing resources in housing environments to cover staff absences
  • Oversee training of team members
  • Recruit for new employees reporting to the position in conjunction with Manager
  • Complete scheduling, approve shifts, fill shifts, approve absences within the ERM

WHAT YOU BRING
We are looking to engage team members with diverse skills, experiences and interests.
These are some of the competencies and credentials we are looking for:

  • Degree or Diploma in Community Rehabilitation, Disability Studies, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous demonstrated experience leading employees
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A high level of problem solving and decisionmaking skills and ability to manage high
- stress and emergency situations effectively

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule
  • Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism aligned with Vecova values
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all Vecova team members
  • Represent Vecova in a professional manner
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative and enthusiasm
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Demonstrate a high level of administrative and IT capacity
