Responsibilities:
Safety Culture:
- Ensures that equipment and procedures meet or exceed all applicable government and Lafarge Safety guidelines.
- Participates in a culture of safety that is best in class with an objective of "zero" safety incidents.
- Actively engages with other staff to reinforce safe behaviors.
Quality Assurance:
- Carries out concrete testing including slump and air testing on site.
- Performing cylinder break testing in the lab and recording them in software systems.
- Carries out aggregate sampling and sieve analysis to ensure crushing and washing operations are within specification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creation and monitoring of concrete mix designs.
- Assist with project bidding, review of project specifications and provide submittals to contractors.
- Attend pre pour meetings and lead concrete pours with dispatch and readymix drivers.
- Develop key relationships with customers and consultants.
Production:
- Provides technical and reporting support to operational personnel.
- Reports and interprets concrete, aggregate results, advises production staff and participates in potential corrective actions to maintain targets.
- Assists with key performance indicator and inventory tracking, and communicating them to production and sales staff.
Qualifications:
Knowledge:
- E.T. or two years of technical work experience preferred.
Computer Proficiency:
Training:
- ACI or CCIL Certification Preferred.
Skills:
- Team player with a positive attitude who is able to selfmotivate as well as take direction.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Strong math skills and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast paced environment while remaining flexible is crucial to success in this role.
