Who We Are:


The Role
Equispheres is currently seeking an experienced
QA Manager to join our growing technical and operations teams.

We are fast-paced and demanding start-up environment, engaged in the continued development and commercialization of existing and future production processes.


The QA Manager will oversee the quality assurance related staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization's products and/or development processes.

Responsible for the Operations compliance with federal, provincial, municipal, company policies, SOPs, industry standards/guidelines, and customer requirements.

QA Manager is responsible for Equipsheres' powders meeting external and internal specifications, as well as the quality control of all the materials involved in the powder manufacturing process.


This position will work closely with all members of Equispheres' technical and operations teams reporting to the
VP of Operations.


Key Duties

Supervisory Responsibilities:


  • Trains quality assurance related staff.
  • Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are prompt and constructive.

Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Develops, implements, and maintains the Quality Management System. This includes establishing quality policies and procedures, creating, and maintaining quality documentation, and ensuring all employees are trained on QMS. It also involves follow up to All the QMS processes, lead management reviews, lead internal audits and train internal auditors, lead external audits; lead the implementation of new certifications (e.g. AS 9100, ISO Establish quality related key performance indicators and report them to Management
  • Develops, implements, monitors, verifies, and manages processes to ensure that company metal powder products meet required specifications for quality, function, safety, and reliability prior to delivery.
  • Quality control of all stages of processing: receiving, prep work, production, post production, powder release, shipping. Implement statistical process control across the manufacturing processes
  • Lead the continuous improvement and corrective action process
  • Ensure that standard operating procedures (SOPs) follow the best practices, are always up to date, trained with records keeping, show continuous improvement; develop new SOPs required to support the company growth and the continuous improvement process
  • Contribute to strengthen the supply chain
  • Systematic vendors follow up
  • Conduct inspections, sensory product evaluations, quality audits, and pick samples as needed.
  • Identifies and sets proper quality standards and parameters for products.
  • Communicates quality standards and parameters to QA related teams, product development team, and other staff.
  • Coordinates product testing processes.
  • Participates in product testing.
  • Identifies and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
  • Reviews client, customer, and user feedback.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Participate in all 3rd party audits.
  • Develops, maintains, verifies, and validates a stock recovery plan including lot tracking, mock recoveries, and traceability exercises as required.
  • Trains departmental team and nondepartment team members on QA requirements
  • Orders product holds or recalls if contaminants are discovered.
  • Analyzes, monitors, and reports deviations of production process controls.
  • Analyzes, monitors, and reports deviations of finished product controls.
  • Develops, implements, monitors, updates, and trains, as needed, to ensure a reliable and effective equipment calibration program.
  • Develops, implements, monitors, updates, and trains, as needed, to ensure an effective environmental testing program.
  • Leads continuous improvement programs and related initiatives. Promote a lean manufacturing approach
  • Designs and delivers employee training as needed.
  • Oversees and performs analytical tests on products, materials, or equipment as needed.
  • Participates in research/development projects as asked.
  • Maintains an organized, legible, and correct documentation for all QA programs.
  • Ensures all staff, including themself, adhere to all internal and external requirements.
