Job summary
+The Associate Dean provides collaborative academic leadership and management of the School of Apprenticeship & Skilled Trades and School of Engineering Technologies in alignment with the strategic initiatives of the College's academic plan.
+Responsibilities
+- Works collaboratively with the Dean and leadership team on divisional leadership activities.
- Maintains high level performance through people management supervising employees conducting effective hiring orienting developing faculty managers support staff ongoing performance reviews providing regular feedback coaching mentorship resolving conflicts addressing complaints managing complex team dynamics effectively following College policies procedures accessing appropriate resources supports initiating facilitating leading program review development implementation quality assurance ensuring focus access equity inclusion delivering high quality student-focused programming engaging encouraging directing scholarly applied research activities leading workload workforce planning determining faculty teaching complementary function assignments making strategic human resource decisions maintaining best interests needs Schools leads partnership development external academic community partners ensuring positive effective brand awareness programs working collaboratively Marketing Communications Registrar Office Community Partnerships Global Partnerships Education Office other areas ensuring positive reputation across College community leads operating budgets collaboration Manager Academic Operations Divisional manager finance operations overseeing fiscal accountability funding sources accessed operate Schools programs initiatives
