Research Nova Scotia's office is located in downtown Halifax


The Position
We are seeking a Research Support Officer for an 18-month term.

The Research Support Officer is responsible for supporting the various programs and services Research Nova Scotia (RNS) implements to fulfill the organization's mandate.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Research Support Officer is a key member of the Research Support team that interacts with institutions, researchers, and collaborators to ensure excellence in the creation and delivery of all RNS programs.


Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all RNS grants, prizes, and studentships once a signed project agreement is in place.
  • Supporting research competitions including the Scotia Scholars Awards program and the New Health Investigators grant.
  • Helping with the operation of RNS's online grants management portal.
  • Contributing to the ongoing improvement of programs and services such as research competitions, studentships, intentional research initiatives, and the Competitive Edge Initiative.
  • Working with other RNS team members to support our programs and service commitments.

  • Salary: $52,800 $60,000 per annum

  • Flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week.
