    About the Opportunity

    The Electrician is responsible for maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment. Duties include installation of phone and data cables and terminations, electrical renovations or new installations as required. The electrician is responsible to troubleshoot, maintain and repair all of the complex's electrical and electronic equipment and systems. To install new electrical equipment when needed and comply with Canadian and Provincial Codes.

    About You

    * Grade XII and valid Nova Scotia Construction Electrician Journeyman Certification
    * One year post Journeyman experience required, four years experience preferred
    * Demonstrated knowledge in maintenance repair and installation of all types of electrical systems and new equipment
    * Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and Safety Codes
    * Excellent decision making skills
    * Ability to work in emergency situations
    * Ability to work with minimal supervision
    * Valid NS Drivers License
    * Valid training in the following will be considered an asset: WHMIS, Confined Space Awareness, Fall Protection, Arc Flash Training, First Aid, Lock & Tag Out, Infection Control

    * Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

    Hours

    • Permanent Full-time Position; 75 hours bi-weekly

    Compensation and Incentives

    $ $32.65 Hourly

    This position is currently eligible for a market adjustment of approximately $.62 bi-weekly. Eligibility for a market adjustment is reviewed periodically.
