Key Job Requirements:
Reporting to the Director of Administration and assisting the Human Resources Generalist with the following tasks and responsibilities:
Benefits
Assist with employee benefits (including company group RRSP)
Training
Ensure employees' training records are up to date
Health and Safety
- Act as the company Health and Safety Representative
- Manage meetings with the health and safety committee every trimester
- Train new employees in matters related to the health and safety program
Administrative Functions
- Verify timecards for payroll
- Act as a payroll backup, as needed
- Assist in the maintenance of policies and procedures
- Create and issue HR announcements related to birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
- Assist with performance review follow up
Security Compliance
- Assist in completing security assessments for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and processing requests for security screenings (NATO Secret, etc.)
- In collaboration with administration and IT personnel, verify that security controls are met.
Research
Conduct research on:
- Labor laws and HR best practices as necessary
- Training options and suppliers
- Language laws
- Health and safety regulations
Recruitment
- Orientation/onboarding of new employees
- Occasional backup to recruitment during peak periods (i.e. normalizing résumés, sourcing, etc.)
Qualifications
- University degree in Human Resources (or equivalent) would be an asset
- Must be bilingual (English & French), both oral and written
- Knowledge of labor laws would be an asset
- Good computer skills including Outlook, Word and Excel
Typical Related Professional Experience:
- 2+ years of related experience
Miscellaneous Requirements
- The work model is hybrid (at least one day at the office).
- Knowledge of English is required to communicate and work with customers outside the province of Quebec. / _La connaissance de l'anglais est requise pour communiquer et travailler avec nos clients situés à l'extérieur de la province de Québec._
