Responsibilities:


PRIMARY PURPOSE
Develops, coordinates and maintains performance measures across the organization ensuring alignment with divisional goals and objectives. Prepares a variety of analysis and reports to provide accurate and up-to-date information for informed decision making.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


Collaborates with departments to explore current data collection processes, establish data requirements and work with relevant managers/supervisors to develop, prepare and maintain dashboards focused on various corporate performance measures and improvements across all functions.


Establishes and maintains a quality assurance process which ensures accuracy and completeness of performance measurement data while also ensuring compliance with company's standards, policies, processes, regulatory and other related requirements.

Uses various statistical methods to analyze data and identify trends to support fact-based decision making.


Ensures data integrity of key performance measures including technical specifications, using Business Intelligence tools and / or other corporate systems and troubleshoots issues as required.


Creates, updates and maintains data dashboards/reports to ensure users have the information they need to manage their business and make decisions and improve service and efficiency.

Leverages available benchmarking resources for best practices and provides comparable performance measures from other transit agencies and business enterprises to the concerned stakeholders towards informed decision making.


Supports quarterly reports to the Board of Directors and TransLink indicating performance compared to targets, and major reasons for variances.

Prepares ad hoc reports, presentation materials related to performance measurement, and researches latest trends, best practices and other related data as assigned.


Qualifications:


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


The requirements for this job are acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistical Analysis, Information Technology or business plus four (4) years of solid experience with development and analysis of performance measurements, and technical experience in designing, implementing and maintaining data and creating reports in a Business Intelligence environment.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Solid knowledge of concepts, principles, practices and techniques pertaining to all aspects of performance measures, benchmarking, balanced scorecards and dashboards

Solid knowledge and understanding of the relevant concepts of data mining and data warehousing to be able to procure and manage data

Strong analytical, problem solving and judgement skills to be able to interpret data and identify, diagnose, and resolve KPI related issues

Strong relationship management skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and management levels

Strong time management, organization, verbal and written communication skills

Excellent knowledge of office software including word processing, spreadsheet and data management systems

Recruitment Process:

An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process.

A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.


Work Schedule:

40 hours per week.

This is a full time temporary position until October 6, 2023.


Work Designation:

Hybrid

This position offers the flexibility of working both on-site and remotely within B.C.


Rate of Pay:
