    Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, Mill Planning, the Mill Maintenance Shutdown Scheduler will be responsible for shutdown scheduling in the crushing, grinding, flotation, filtering/drying, reclaim, and leaching areas of the milling complex. Utilizing a CMMS system (Maximo) and MS Project to create work schedules.

    Responsibilities:

    • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
    • Field Time – Participate in pre-shutdown walk downs.
    • Development - Participate in roll related yearly development plan.
    • Variance – Ensure weekly actions related to shutdowns are tracked and completed.
    • Prepare, attend, and participate in all meetings related to shutdown scheduling processes.
    • Ensure job plan packages are being created with necessary information to allow successful execution of work. (Work orders, procedures, and Gantt chart)
    • Ensure shutdown critical path is identified and work is sequenced in a way that minimizes equipment downtime and impact on production.
    • Identify interdependencies among tasks and trades.
    • Use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track shutdown efficiencies and availability.
    • Ensure a locked in schedule is completed and Gantt charted in MS Project minimum two weeks ahead of plant shutdowns and reviewed with stakeholders including Superintendents.
    • Communicate scheduling conflicts and limitations.
    • Adhere to the shutdown management process and keep the shutdown checklist up to date.
    • Identify resource deficiencies, and post overtime sign up sheets.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 5 years of supervisory/planning/scheduling experience in a metallurgical processing plant or equivalent
    • Recognized trade qualification, technical diploma or equivalent.
    • Understanding of planning and scheduling principles and procedures.
    • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office, MS Project, Power BI, and working knowledge of a computerized maintenance management system, Maximo preferred.
    • Must have Gr.12 or GED.
    • Possess a valid driver's license.

    Salary Range: $105,000 - $129,000

    The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
