- Job SummaryA Quality Assurance Analyst with our Product Development team in Toronto is responsible for developing test cases and scripts and keeping them upto date with evolving systems. Performing various types of testing. appropriate to the phase of the project or iteration. This is a hybrid role, with 12 days per week expected inperson at 200 Bay Street in Toronto.
Responsibilities:
- Reading, understanding, and creating use cases, user stories, glossaries, and other forms of requirementspecification documents.
- Developing test cases and scripts and keeping them up to date with the evolving systems
- Performing various types of testing, appropriate to the phase of the project or iteration
- Recording and organizing test results consistently and clearly
- Managing testing feedback from others, including SMEs
- Reviewing, recording and organizing test results consistently and clearly
- Reporting bugs and errors to development team and managing testing feedback from others, including Subject Matter Experts
- Collaborating with developers, business analysts, project managers, and projects stakeholders
- Developing documentation relating to software validation/verification and client releases including but not limited to user specifications, training guides, etc. when needed.
- Recording detailed notes of any project meetings
- Contributing to the evolution of the testing processes in Product Development including implementation of any automated testing
- Contributing to solutions that exhibit a strong understanding of the business need, user experience, and technical constraints.
- Understanding and advising on risk of possible implementations
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years' experience in software quality assurance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills and accuracy
- Able to adapt to the company's changing needs.
- Strong work ethic: Detailoriented and ability to multitask
- Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Team player
- Solid understanding of the software development life cycle and its basic concepts
- Firm grasp of user interface design best practices and conventions
- Understanding of Agile methodology
- Understanding of Microsoft Azure DevOps or TFS a plus
- Insurance domain experience a plus
