  • Description
  • The Manager of Project Management will serve as head of the Project Management function.
  • He/She will be responsible for managing the overall team, defining best practices, creating and implementing new processes and working with the Director Services to outline the overall growth and strategy of the PM function at Purpose.
  • The Manager establishes methodologies to set productivity and quality targets and to assess results for all projects. Responds to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinates solutions to get project acceptance as per time schedule.
  • Additionally, the Manager monitors and analyzes project metrics to identify weakness or problems and to propose operational improvements and cost saving to meet Company financial goals.
  • Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Operation Director to create processes and systems to ensure effective project management and implementation across the organization.
  • Direct the activities of the Project Management Unit and determine how team resources should be allocated across projects.
  • Provide strong and effective support to Sales, Finance, and program management teams
  • Create training and capacity building process and training modules to promote project management best practices. Communicate with Senior Management on successes, issues and lessons learned from implementation and share these across the organization
  • Build a Community of Practice for Good Project Management across the organization involving Project Managers and operations and finance staff
  • Serve as primary Project Management support assisting Project Managers deliver successful projects within budget, time and ensuring high customer satisfaction
  • Track project budgets and forecasts while working with Project Managers to explain variance and propose and take steps for programmatic corrections when necessary. Review Monthly Project Reports to ensure strong monthly financial oversight.
  • Establish metrics and KPI and to track project performance and deliverables while working with Project Managers to ensure the completion and submission of all required reports to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure project managers understand and follow project scoping, planning, and budgeting policies, procedures, etc and have the resources, tools and support required to deliver their work.
  • Develop trainings and coach the project management team on rolespecific topics including client management, negotiation, budget management, communication best practices, facilitation, new products etc.
  • Promote and drive a culture of accountability for the project management team through effective people management including hiring, retention, coaching and development.
  • Oversee largescale projects alongside project manager(s), ensuring client satisfaction, timely scope fulfillment, and budgetary success.
  • Ensure project management team is providing on due time all required info to Finance for very accurate revenue recognition and revenue forecast.
  • Qualifications
  • University degree in Engineering, Economics or equivalent.
  • 10 + years experience as project manager;
  • High level of project management skills
  • A successful track record in establishing strong and effective working relationships with customers and experience of conflict resolution
  • Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
  • Fluency in English, French and Spanish consider an asset
