Job Purpose:
The Machining Group (TMG) is a leading player in the machining and fabrication industry, committed to delivering high quality machining and fabrication work to our diverse clientele.
Major Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of yearly strategic sales plan and marketing plans that align with TMG KPI's and targets.
- Deliver the full life cycle of business development activities, including market analysis, account planning and management, opportunity identification and qualification and overall pipeline management.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our machining and fabrication capabilities, staying abreast of industry advancements to effectively articulate the technical features and benefits of our capabilities.
- Develop and support strategic client relationship management, including shop tours, client site visits, business reviews and client entertainment.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies, including pricing models, product positioning, and competitive differentiation.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking leads, opportunities, and customer interactions in CRM software to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to address technical inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Create, update, and manage the Thurston Machine social media accounts as per the yearly Sales Plan.
- Provide support and/or lead other market initiatives, as required.
- Support the tracking of Non-Disclosure Agreements / Confidentiality Agreements as required.
- Support contract negotiations with key accounts as needed.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field or a minimum of 5years of related Sales experience
- Strong technical acumen and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling value propositions for clients.
- Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in machining and fabrication or a related industry.
- Successful legacy of meeting goals for consecutive years.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Selfmotivated with a resultsoriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
Salary Range:
- $70,000 - $100,000
