BILLING & COLLECTIONS SUPERVISOR - CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

As a key member of the finance and accounting team, you will have day-to-day responsibility for ensuring the timely preparation and submission of customer invoices and the subsequent certification and collection of associated receivables.

Co-ordinating with project managers, other members of the accounting team and the Commercial


Manager your duties will include:

• Review of construction contracts for billing instructions and special conditions;
• Prepare substantiated costings for each billing cycle;
• Prepare progress and retainage invoices in accordance with contractual obligations;
• Coordinate with project managers and Commercial Manager to make any adjustments to draft billings prior to issuing to client / payment certifier;
• Liaise with subtrades in relation to certified costings;
• Communicate directly with client / payment certifier on attaining billing certification;
• Maintain accounts receivable reporting;
• Ensure aged receivables are identified and actioned in a timely manner.

A solid understanding of construction industry contract billing, SOVs, hold-back / retainage and project certification protocol are all fundamental perquisites.

Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and a tenacious work ethic are key to success in this role.


Salary:
$65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
