    On July 27, 2023, TC Energy announced the intention to spin off our Liquids Pipelines business and separate into two independent, investment-grade, publicly listed companies - TC Energy and South Bow.     The Opportunity

    We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and self-managed project manager to manage projects of varying size, scope and complexity across the Liquids Business Unit assets in Canada and the US. Project scopes will cover a range of areas, including facility integrity, electrical/automation, pipeline integrity and GPMC (General Plant Maintenance Capital) work.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for definition, execution and close out of projects across Canada and the US. Strong technical, project management, organizational, and communication skills will be key to being successful in this role. Project performance will be measured by the ability to safely execute the assigned programs, ability to accurately forecast and manage project budget and schedule, and the ability to demonstrate execution efficiency while ensuring project governance requirements are adhered to.

    What you'll do

    • Successfully manage the full project life cycle for integrity and GPMC projects
    • Manage multiple projects and contractors simultaneously while delivering the projects safely on budget and on schedule
    • Liaise with internal and external groups (engineering, field operations, land, regulatory, environment) to understand project objectives and determine the necessary scope deliverables, cost, schedule, and quality requirements
    • Identify and mitigate risks, through stakeholder engagement, risk register, plan and control
    • Work with Supply Chain Management through the full life cycle of external contractor engagement including development of procurement and/or contracting strategies, scopes of work, bid preparation, evaluation and award
    • Work with project controls to forecast and capture all project costs accurately and provide detailed justifications for variance from approved budgets and schedule
    • Ensure all executed projects are completed in accordance with PDS requirements, including the development of any required documentation
    • Work closely with external contractors and internal inspection to manage at-site activities, emphasizing safety, quality, compliance, and cost/schedule efficiencies
    • Work with Sponsor groups in the business unit during budget cycles and assist with cost estimating
    • Assist team leadership with preparation of formal reporting on project status
    • Participate in continuous development of project planning/management tools, templates and processes by identifying and applying opportunities for improvement

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Post-Secondary degree in a related field (Electrical and Mechanical engineering/technology degree preferred)
    • 10 years or more of progressive, relevant experience in management of projects of various complexity with demonstrated track record of success
    • Demonstrated familiarity with project management processes, tools and techniques

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior experience with Electrical/Automation projects will be considered a strong asset for the successful candidate

    This position requires candidates to:

    • Have and maintain a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract for review
    • Travel to other company locations and field sites (up to 25% of time)
