Summary:

Perform all tasks in a safe and timely manner. Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems to minimize downtime and achieve efficient operation and production. Disassemble, clean and reassemble components of line equipment to prepare for next production run.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform repairs on production machines and/or equipment when a malfunction has been detected. May discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem and repair the machine.
  • Lays out, assembles, installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.
  • Perform machine installations/moves and building maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain machinery, equipment and tools by cleaning, lubricating, greasing and/or oiling to ensure optimum working order.
  • Maintains and makes routine repairs to electrically powered equipment and appliances according to manager and/or equipment service manuals.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and makes repairs to heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment according to instructions such as replacing belts on motors, changing filters, bearings, etc.
  • Performs scheduled PM's and visually inspect and test assigned machines and equipment for proper functionality.
  • On a daily basis, receives assigned work order to complete on equipment.
  • Performs minor electrical work not requiring a licensed electrician such as replacing light bulbs and fuses.
  • May be required to order requisition parts as needed.
  • Develop, coordinate and track project list activities.
  • Ensures that a high level of safety is adhered to at all times on and off the production floor.
  • Follow Plant specified job specification and task list.
  • Must adhere to all required PPE; conducts him/herself in a safe manner.

From $85,000.00 per year

  • Surrey, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:


  • Plastics blow molding: 1 year (preferred)
  • Millwright: 2 years (required)
  • Industrial maintenance: 2 years (required)
  • Electrical: 2 years (required)
  • Hydraulics: 2 years (required)
  • Pneumatics: 2 years (required)
  • Programmable logic controllers: 2 years (required)
