Assisted Living Team Manager
Christie Gardens is looking for an enthusiastic, mature, and experienced manager who is interested in a work environment that is creatively stimulating and challenging.
This position will provide practical and social support to the Personal Support Worker (PSW) team, the residents, and their families.

Qualifications:
- Postsecondary education in health management or business management
- Experience in a managerial capacity (minimum 2 years)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience in retirement homes or longterm care would be an asset
- Ability to multitask
- Detailoriented
- Proven ability to solve problems and think critically
- Strong Leadership skills
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and oversee the daytoday operations and budget of the Assisted Living ('AL') department ensuring a high quality of individualized care for our residents.
- Empower PSW team to provide choice and decisionmaking opportunities to residents in all circumstances. Maintain residents' autonomy as much as possible.
- Identify and develop skills, capacities, and strengths of your teams.
- Eliminate real or perceived barriers in order to contribute to the success of your teams, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Plan, implement and liaise with residents and Power of Attorneys (POA's) to facilitate the transition to the Courtyard Community (24/hour care floor) when necessary (tours, pretransfer).
- Collaboratively assess residents in the AL program with respect to physical, emotional and environmental needs and communicate/document the reassessment of care needs as required.
- Create and manage PSW assignments.
- Assist with the maintenance of records and communication reflecting resident's condition, care, and specific treatment.
- Liaise with external community partners; HCCSS, hospitals and other service providers.
