Matrix is hiring for Concrete Finishers for an exciting $250 million-dollar project in Victoria, BC. The pay rate is $36.71/hr. Paid travel provided as well as $150.00 per day LOA (for those residing outside of Vancouver Island). Our client is one of Canada's leading construction company.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the placement and finishing of concrete for walls, beams, and minor slab areas with the team.
Tie holes, insect holes, and make repairs to concrete walls.
Operate a variety of electric and airpowered chipping hammers efficiently.
Use power vibrators to ensure that concrete is properly consolidated.
Using a straightedge or a float, level the top surface of the concrete according to the grade and depth standards.
Ensure that all health and safety laws are adhered to.
Make use of a variety of hand and power tools.
Effectively communicates, is adaptable, and discusses and resolves concerns

Requirements:

Must have proper personal protective gear (steeltoe rubber boots, hard hat, protective glasses, vest, glasses)
A government security clearance is required. We can assist with this.

Qualifications:

Ability to operate and be certified a manlift (aerial boom lift)
Must have proper personal protective gear (steeltoe rubber boots, hard hat, protective glasses, vest, glasses)
3 to 5 years' experience concrete finishing
