About the Position:

Maintain Big Ticket Items (BTI) and truck fleet electronics. Technical support for Sales, Purchasing, Customer Service, Marketing and all On Street Service (OSS) departments.

Responsibilities:

Repair and Maintenance of the local rental fleet
Prep consignment stock for sales or rentals
Be the main liaison for product ordered from Ver-Mac
Supply branches with support, repairs and technical support
Provide technical phone support, troubleshooting and training on all Ver-Mac products
Stay current on our products
Assist the product specialist when new product is added to fleet
Order stock and maintain inventory of parts
Ensure all paperwork is to corporate standards and completed in a timely manner
Provide warranty service for sold equipment
Required to take afterhours calls
Ensure Lean and 5S tasks are maintained daily
Able to work in all types of weather conditions
Pick up and deliver of BTI trailers.

Qualifications:

Postsecondary education in Electronics Engineering Technology, mechanics or related field is preferred but not required.
Electronics background and ability to diagnose electronic issues is an asset.
Ability to undergo and pass a preemployment drug, alcohol and fit test. *As this is a safety sensitive position, we have a zero tolerance policy for use of marijuana (medical or recreational). Fit test includes ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders/stairs to access equipment, etc.
Previous work experience in the traffic control/construction industry is an asset.
Knowledge of print reading and motor controls (A.C. and D.C.) is preferred.
Intermediate computer literacy with Microsoft Office 365: Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.
Ability to install software drivers and perform basic troubleshooting while communicating issues effectively.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
A valid (nongraduated) Class 5 driver's license and clean driving abstract is required to drive our company vehicles.
