The Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites Ottawa Downtown, conveniently situated in downtown Ottawa, is steps from Parliament Hill.

The hotel features 173 extended-stay guest rooms under the Homewood Suites by Hilton banner and 171 guest rooms under the Hilton Garden Inn banner with a total of 4,500 square feet of meeting space, a lounge, restaurant, pool and fitness facility.


Responsibilities:


  • Service breakfast, lunch, breaks, dinner, and receptions to banquet functions and events
  • Analyse BEOs to ensure rooms are prepared each day for scheduled events
  • Set up and dismantle banquet facilities for a variety of functions and events
  • Satisfy guest requests
  • Collaborate with Food & Beverage and Sales & Catering Team Members
  • Provide superior customer service to internal and external guests
  • Ensure orders are properly posted in POS system according to BEO
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:


  • Must have the ability to work well under pressure
  • Previous food service & cash handling experience an asset
  • Pleasant and outgoing personality
  • Able to handle large volume in a fast paced environment
  • Able to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to lift, push and pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Familiarity with food service and hospitality rules and regulations
  • Proven restaurant and/or banquet serving experience up to a minimum 1 year
  • Handson experience in cashier duties
  • Attention to cleanliness and safety
  • Attentive and patient approach with guests
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Smart Serve Certificate
  • Food Handling Certificate

Language:

Bilingual in English and French is considered an asset


Job Types:

Pay:
$18.55 per hour
