Introba's Climate Policy & Planning team works with local governments, states, federal agencies, educational and other public-serving institutions, as well as portfolio holders of various kinds to help set and achieve low-carbon resilience goals in the built environment.
We work with ambitious clients throughout the world who need our expertise in charting a path to zero emissions, drawing on a combination of our team's technical, engagement, and policy development skillsets.
We are excited to be adding to our Vancouver team We are seeking an ambitious Decarbonization Planner to join our growing team.
The Decarbonization Planner supports Introba's Climate Policy and Planning Team on a wide variety of projects focused primarily on strategic climate change/decarbonization planning for campuses, municipalities, provinces and utilities, and energy efficiency and emissions reduction policy development in the built environment/building sector.
Skills and Qualifications- Strong understanding of policies, practices, research, and trends relevant to the sustainable built environment- Good understanding of the sources of, and strategies for, reducing energy and emissions at building, portfolio, campus, and/or broader scales- Holistic understanding of global sustainable issues, including current leaders and best practices in net-zero energy/emissions and low-carbon resilient buildings and/or communities- Good knowledge of low-carbon resilience land use and transportation issues and solutions considered an asset- University degree in Planning, Architecture, Environmental Studies, Resource Management, Engineering or Public Policy/Administration, or similar qualifications combined with relevant experience Minimum 3 years of industry-specific experience, ideally with public sector organizations and/or First Nations- Strong interpersonal skills with clients and staff- Excellent writing and organizational skills
