    Partner Staffing is currently working with our client to find a Senior Environmental Manager based out of their Calgary, Alberta office. This dynamic role will oversee all Environmental projects within the organization in conjunction with other departments.

    Description

    • Manage the lifecycle of all projects including budgets and planning.
    • Headline initiatives towards business development.
    • Lead environmental impact assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
    • Provide guidance and support to internal teams on environmental best practices, including waste management, pollution prevention, and energy efficiency.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into business operations, product development, and decision-making processes.
    • Oversee the preparation and submission of environmental permit applications, reports, and other regulatory documents as required.
    • Conduct regular environmental training sessions and workshops to raise awareness and build capacity among employees.
    • Stay informed about emerging environmental trends, technologies, and regulations to proactively address potential challenges and opportunities.
    • Manage relationships with regulatory agencies, community stakeholders, and industry partners to foster positive relationships and promote environmental stewardship.
    • Lead incident investigations and emergency response efforts related to environmental incidents, ensuring timely reporting and corrective actions.
    • Champion the onboarding of new hires, manage the performance acknowledgement and disciplinary actions.


    Requirements

    • Ability to think strategically regarding organizational growth.
    • Appropriate designation with APEGA (P.Eng, P.Ag, P.Biol),
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental management, preferably in the oil and gas, energy, or manufacturing sectors.
    • Strong understanding of environmental regulations, including but not limited to air quality, water quality, waste management, and hazardous materials.
    • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing environmental management systems (EMS) such as ISO 14001.
    • Proven leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
    • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex technical information to diverse audiences.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Familiarity with environmental monitoring and reporting tools/software.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to travel within Alberta and BC for approximately 25% of the time.
