is a wholesale cut flower grower based in Chilliwack, BC, with over 20 acres of indoor growing space and 20 acres of seasonal outdoor.

Quik's Farm is geared towards the intense production of cut Chrysanthemums, Oriental Lilies, and Alstroemeria, using state of the art growing systems and leading-edge technology to produce high quality products for our diverse customer base throughout Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest USA.

Currently there is a
full-time position available in Maintenance. The position is from Monday to Friday and on Saturdays as needed. We are looking for an individual that wants to grow with our company. We offer benefits and competitive wages based on commitment and value for our company.


This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities:


  • Work collaboratively with the Maintenance and Operations to ensure information and projects relating to maintenance and repairs are conducted in a timely manner to ensure production demands are met on time
  • Follow through of scheduled maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, vehicles, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Respond to maintenance requests from various departments
  • Manage inventory of parts and supplies and maintain an efficient and clean workshop
  • Ensure that 100% of the equipment, repairs or mechanical tooling, Employer Property, are labeled, named, and scheduled inside the maintenance system.
  • Weekly greasing and oil checks on cart pullers, forklift, and pallet jacks etc.
  • Data entry of all maintenance items completed in software program.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective function of the work unit.

Qualification:


  • Knowledge of Electrical diagrams.
  • Experience in building maintenance, electrical, irrigation and general repair
  • Good communication skills and forward spirit
  • High school diploma or suitable equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years in maintenance or relevant experience
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work physically for extended periods of time
  • Should not have any attendance issues or any disciplinary action within the last year
  • Operate equipment that is used in installation, repair and maintenance on boiler and heating equipment

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Chilliwack, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
