Why is this role important?

  • The role plays an integral role in creating, understanding and measuring the connection between CIHI, our clients and the use of our products and services. The role promotes awareness of CIHI's brand image and engagement with our most influential audience. The role works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that CIHI marketing initiatives aligns with corporate strategic goals, speaks to the target audience, and adheres to brand standards. The role supports the development of marketing concepts and activities that reaffirms CIHI's positioning as leader in health data (CIHI product) and the value it contributes to the Canadian Health System.
  • What you'll do
  • Works with a cross functional Marketing and Communications Team to develop marketing campaign strategies to grow brand awareness, audience leads and audience engagement. Offers expertise based on a solid understanding of business and campaign goals and makes recommendations on messaging, segmentation, and engagement tactics.
  • Works with teams across the organization and external vendors (e.g. creative agencies) to lead the execution of campaigns, including but not limited to, the review and approval of creative against established brand guidelines, and aggregating feedback provided by stakeholders
  • Defines campaign objectives and KPIs to support business objectives. Works closely with the digital analytics team on the development of campaign KPI dashboards.
  • Prepares and presents campaign briefs to teams across the organization and external vendors.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing Automation team, to support a robust marketing automation program and optimization of the digital marketing campaigns.
  • Monitors campaign results and proposes recommendations for improvements to optimize budget allocation and engagement.
  • Develops marketing materials and creative content for (but not limited to) CIHI business areas, regional offices and sponsorship and events, that support priority products and thought leadership initiatives and foster engagement.
  • Supports campaign budget planning.
  • Assumes responsibility for other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring to the table

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent education/experience in business administration, statistics, computer science, math or marketing research.
  • Three to five years' experience working in marketing or related field.
  • An understanding of media and digital platforms (end user level).
  • Excellent written and creative copywriting skills, including the ability to understand and translate complex information into compelling and engaging content for the various target audiences, telling stories in different mediums to engage and inform our clients.
  • Excellent and oral communication skills including the ability to synthesize complex information and translate into materials that are accessible and interesting to a range of clients (CIHI personas).
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and problemsolving skills.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Photo and video editing software and SharePoint.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing analysis principles and the engagement lifecycle and awareness of emerging communications and marketing tactics and trends.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a team environment including demonstrating initiative and taking ownership of work.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality with the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
