Owner Operator Driver
Speedy Transport Group Inc. started small and grew fast. Founded in 1941 as a local, same-day parcel pick-up and delivery service, Speedy Transport has grown to become one of central Canada's premier carriers. Today, we operate sophisticated transport services from terminals along the Windsor-Quebec City 401 corridor, with a fleet of over 450 owner-operators, and 500+ employees operating out of seven main terminals. With construction on an additional three sites currently underway.

The purpose of this position is the delivery of customer's freight in a productive, safe, error free, and time sensitive manner.

Duties & Responsibilities_
- Operate and drive tractortrailer to transport goods and materials over long distances.
- Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods.
- Perform pretrip, en route and posttrip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, brakes and cold storage.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
- Administer bills of lading and electronically maintain logbooks.
- Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices and onboard computers.
- May transport hazardous products or dangerous goods.
- All other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications_
- 2 years of Commercial Driving Experience
- Own your own truck
- Clean Record
