Land Development Coordinator

Location:154 Iber Road (Stittsville, Ontario)

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Support Land Development and Project Management staff as required with daytoday project tracking and client deliverables
  • Assist with municipal development approvals including Subdivisions, Site Plans, Zoning By-Law Amendments
  • Coordination and tracking of Site Plan and Subdivision Approval processes
  • Extensive use of MS Office Suite of tools
  • Meeting/calendar coordination and bookings with partners, client and consultant teams
  • Working closely with the Development team and Project Managers, responsible for preparation and distribution of meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and other key project reporting and communications
  • Track municipal development cost charges in all relevant markets
  • Responsible to support tracking of all financial details related to contracts, committed costs, change orders, invoicing, etc. to ensure accurate, realtime reporting
  • Responsible to help track Project schedules and key project milestone schedules for accurate, realtime reporting on critical dates
  • Support preparation of any regular Project Status / Executive Status reporting
  • Lead the preparation of various Consultant and Construction Management RFPs and prepare analysis of submissions and provide guidance on completeness
  • Review requisitions, change orders, and other invoices associated with the project. Validate all details and ensures appropriate approvals in place before distribution
  • Support all necessary planning and help to oversee all onsite activities
  • Perform related assignments as required in the daily operation of the department
  • Assist in site evaluation process for land acquisitions
  • Support development/project management team in completing administrative tasks as required
  • Coordinating all internal and external meetings, and taking detailed meeting minutes
  • Tracking all critical dates which will require updating multiple information resources and departments
  • Collecting, organizing, and tracking due diligence deliverables

Requirements:


  • 23 years experience in real estate development, construction, project management or land use planning
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Urban Planning, Architecture, Construction, or a related discipline
  • Knowledge of municipal review and approval process
  • Experienced in reading and understanding architectural and civil drawings, Purchase and Sale Agreements, and Development Agreements include Municipal Planning Documents is considered an asset

Qualifications:


  • Excellent computer skills with a strong proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Acrobat Pro And Bluebeam Revu
  • General working proficiency using Auto CAD
  • Superior organizational and time management skills in order to multitask/prioritize and work under tight timelines
  • A selfstarter who demonstrates initiative and is comfortable working within a team and independently
  • Superior attention to detail with excellent followup skills
  • A professional demeanor with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A methodical thinker with excellent problemsolving capabilities
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to identify opportunities/requirements and develop solutions
  • Ability to develop excellent relationship management skills with team, municipal staff and consultant team
  • Ability to travel to job/project sites and other locations is required
