We are a manufacturing facility that makes corrugated boxes.
Nothing fancy, but everyone needs boxes and we are busy and growing We make boxes for some of the world's largest suppliers and we need people who want a career in manufacturing to be part of our WestRock family.
Career Opportunity:
Working in the shipping department, you will be required to work a 12-hour day continental shift.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working as part of a team you are responsible for loading corrugated products to ensure safe delivery following order specs or other instructions
- Ensure final inspection has been performed prior to shipping.
- Demonstrate attention to detail by ensuring order specs and special requirements are accurately followed
- Assist with inventory counts as scheduled.
- Load/unload trucks
- Operate all forklift, clamp trucks and hand lifts in a careful and safe manner when moving or hoisting shipments.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical problems
- Maintain proper housekeeping practices to ensure a safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned
What you need to do the job
- High school diploma
- Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Shipper/Receiver
- Prior experience working in a shipping office
- Valid lift truck license
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Positive, cando attitude
- Mechanical aptitude
- Must possess good communication skills
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to maintain good attendance
