We're searching for a permanent, full-time Senior Financial Accountant. This is a hybrid position that can be based in our Surrey, BC , Calgary, AB, or Dartmouth, NS offices.

Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $76,000 to $94,000. Your rate of pay will be determined based on your individual qualifications and experience while considering internal equity.

The opportunity:

The Senior Financial Accountant will lead with expertise to drive operational efficiency, deliver timely and professional service to internal and external clients, and develop an engaged, high-performing team within our inclusive culture.

In this role you will:

  • Be a contributing member of our inclusive culture, alongside a vibrant national team of people with a wide variety of backgrounds
  • Flawlessly execute our financial and accounting practices and processes, including Financial statement preparation and presentation, review and analysis of all supporting reconciliations, and support annual budgeting.
  • Share your expertise in a variety of projects to improve and drive efficiency in all financial and accounting practices
  • Respond to internal/external clients in a timely and professional manner
  • Develop your team, so that each member is engaged and reaching their development goals.

Here's what you bring:

  • You like numbers and people You're analytical with an eye for the details, along with a natural ability to build authentic relationships
  • A natural problem solver with the ability to drive operational efficiency
  • You can communicate difficult concepts clearly and concisely
  • Proficient in MS Office with advanced skills in Excel
  • A degree in Commerce or Business, with focus on Finance or Accounting
  • CPA designation or advanced degree
  • Experience leading a team
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in an accounting or finance role
