Position Description:

The mission of the SickKids Centre for Global Child Health (C-GCH) is to collaborate with national and global partners to improve the health of children worldwide through the advancement of child health education, and clinical research initiatives.

Our purpose is to provide a single point of coordination for key programs, policies and external relations relevant to Global Child health.


The Centre for Global Child Health is looking for a
bilingual (French/English) Clinical Research Project Coordinator to work closely with the Principal Investigator and Research Analyst in developing and implementing a study examining sexual health and reproductive rights (SRHR) in adolescent girls in three West African Countries.

The project is in partnership with Save the Children, who are implementing a multi-year program to improve the SRHR of adolescent girls in Mali, Niger and Sierra Leonne.


Here's What You'll Get to Do:

  • Support in the development of the draft study protocol, tools, consent forms, training material, database
  • Submit to SickKids REB
  • Liaise with country partners
  • Clean and analyse project data (with support)¿including time series analysis
  • Assist in writing interim and final project update reports
  • Attend relevant meetings, research rounds, and workshops to increase knowledge and skills
  • Assist with other research related activities including grant writing, and manuscript writing as needed.

Here's What You'll Need:


  • Postsecondary degree in a healthrelated discipline; Master's degree in epidemiology or public health strongly preferred,

Bilingual (oral and written) in French and English.

Ability to communicate scientifically and professionally (oral and written) in both French and English
:


  • Experience in advanced quantitative data analysis and statistical software (please note your preferred software in your CV),
  • Qualitative analysis experience an asset,
  • Knowledge of health research methodology and study design is an asset,
  • Demonstrated interest in and/or work experience related to:
  • the health of children and adolescents
- health research in low
- and middle-income countries

  • Demonstrated ability to be selfmotivated and selfdirected,
  • Demonstrated ability to:
  • Work independently, with mínimal supervision, and within a team
  • Be selfmotivated and selfdirected
  • Utilize critical thinking and problemsolving skills
  • Pay close attention to detail while maintaining view of the larger scope
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
  • Excellent computer skills (strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated commitment and actions in advancing equity, diversity and inclusion objectives.

Employment Type: 1.0 FTE, Full-time, 1 year contract with option to renew. Hybrid
