Marketing and Engagement Coordinator


The Marketing and Engagement Coordinator is responsible for supporting entrepreneurship programs and communications across the organization and in our community.

Within this role there will be a wide range of projects including internal communications, workshop facilitation, event management and innovative marketing campaigns.

In this role, you should be an excellent communicator with strong attention to detail.


Responsibilities

  • Draft and edit communications (i.e., press releases, social media posts, blogs and e
- newsletters)

  • Assist in developing and designing promotional materials and campaigns to support brand identity
  • Assist in monitoring active online marketing programs and developing ways to improve campaigns across social media platforms
  • Assist digital marketing areas such as social media marketing and management, SEO & website optimization
  • Conducting questionnaires with clients and prospective businesses to help business development
  • Leverage, highlight, and celebrate the accomplishments of CEED and its clients in innovative ways
  • Suggest ideas for experimental marketing programs designed to enhance the online presence
  • Coordinate event logistics including communication support
  • Provide administrative support to programs and internal teams
  • Update databases and track projects and media exposure
  • Facilitate effective internal communications
  • Codevelop and facilitate training, presentations, and reports

Qualifications

  • A proven ability and desire to use public relations to create new connections and build existing relationships
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills as well as computer literacy
  • Understanding of media relations and digital media strategies
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) considered an asset
  • Experience and/or education in the areas of teaching, facilitating, business and/or entrepreneurship
  • An understanding of learning styles and their impact on participants' ability to participate.
  • English/French bilingualism an asset but not required.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time position offering a competitive benefits package and RRSP matching. A typical workweek is Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. This position is dependent upon program funding availability.
